Home warranty for a house that gets used

My home warranty plans cover eligible systems and appliances, with a clear way to ask for service when one of them wears out.

A contract, not a policy

I set up each plan as a yearly service contract, apart from insurance.

Meant for parts that age

My plans answer wear from daily use, not storm, fire or accident harm.

Two costs, both known

You pay the plan price and a set fee per visit, both in the agreement.

One person looks after your home warranty

I run NestByEllis on my own. When you ask about a plan, I am the one who answers, sets it up and stays with it through the year.

I started this because a broken furnace or fridge should not turn into a week of guessing. My job is to fit a plan to the things your home runs on, and to be easy to reach when one of them stops.

Philippa T.

Oven request

The oven quit two days before a family dinner. I filed the request that night and the igniter was swapped out by Thursday.

Barnaby A.

Air conditioner request

My air conditioner kept blowing warm in July. The contractor found a failed capacitor and I paid only the set service fee.

Solveig H.

Drain line request

A drain backed up beneath my kitchen sink. The best part was hearing plainly which share of the job my plan would take on.

Camden R.

Dryer request

The dryer kept tumbling but nothing got warm. One request, one visit, a new heating element, and the pile finally shrank.

Ottoline F.

Breaker request

Several hallway outlets quit at once. The electrician found a tired breaker and talked me through the fix before starting.

Benedikt B.

Water heater request

My water heater leaked from a valve on a Sunday. Not all of it was approved, yet I knew exactly why and what my share was.

Home warranty questions I hear most

Short answers about how my plans work. If yours is not here, send it to me.

Ask a Question

Your agreement names the start date. Some plans have a short wait after signup before a first request, and I point that out before you pay.

Usually not. I can set up most plans without one. Each item just has to be working properly on the day your coverage begins.

You can file a request each time a covered item fails. Every plan also has dollar limits, and those are listed in your agreement.

Yes. Your agreement explains how to cancel and how any refund is worked out. Tell me, and I will go through the steps with you.

Often it can. Tell me how the home is used when you sign up, so I can set your plan up the right way from the start.
